Not absolute monarchy of the Hittites

“If the troops were defeated by the enemy, they perform the rite: dissect a man, a goat, a puppy and a pig…” About the Hittites and their Kingdom, which existed in the II Millennium BC, we know quite a lot: understand their language, traditions, way of life. But when and where they came to the Anatolian plateau – remains a mystery. In the II Millennium BC on the territory of Asia Minor there was the greatest of the kingdoms — the Hittite. To match him were only Babylonia and Egypt. It, which became one of the first examples of structured class society, stood for almost six centuries and crumbled under the swords of foreigners. How I became a goddess

It is believed that SPA is an abbreviation of the Latin phrase “Sanus Per Aquam”, which translates as “health through water”. The health that I was lucky enough to get in Belek came from water, milk, chocolate, ylang-ylang oil, sea salts, vitamin C and much more. “the Morning met with warm sun, light breeze and… a trip to the SPA-center of the hotel Spice (Belek). At the junction of the Aegean and Mediterranean seas, somewhere in the middle between today’s Marmaris and Kemer, opposite the island of Rhodes, at the foot of mount Mendos. Residents of the city were incredibly proud of their history. You bet! Once on these same lands located one of the largest ancient settlements of Lycia, the city of the Sun — Telmessos. The second reason for their sincere and genuine pride was the rocky slopes of Mendoza, transformed by the Rhodes knights of the order of St. John into a Grand architectural ensemble, up to the top “encrusted” with tombs. Whatever it was, but a reminder of antiquity, magnificent natural landscapes and hospitality of the hosts, in a word, all together, “in the complex”, Fethiye served a good service. And one day he turned in… the city is a paradox. Continue reading
